What not to miss

Asset Publisher

The Department of Education and Learning / University of Teacher Education was founded in 2009 following the integration of the former Alta scuola pedagogica (ASP) in Locarno into SUPSI.

The history of teacher education in Ticino is a long one, beginning in November 1873, when the Scuola Normale (as it was called until 1930) opened its doors.

The 150 Scuola Magistrale website, created to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Scuola Magistrale (Teacher training school) in 2023, provides an opportunity to learn more about the episodes, women and men who have determined this important part of the civil and social development of Canton Ticino and SUPSI.
